Choosing A Frame
Because people generally recognize you by your face, the eyeglasses you choose to wear are a very real part of your identity.
- Try on many styles. Try as many different shapes, styles and colors as possible. Frames often look very different on the frame board than they will on your face. And don't be afraid to try something out of your "comfort zone" you might be surprised at you discover!
- Look for lift. Frames look best when they lift the cheek and eye area at the bottom outside corners of the frames upwards. This creates an uplifting effect and avoids a "droopy" look.
- Follow the line of your brows. Choose a frame shape that mirrors the arch of your eyebrows.
- Your eyes should be centered within the frames. They don't need to be absolutely dead center, but they should be within a range of the center.
- Choose a color that complements your skin tone and eye color. Eyewear does not have to match what you’re wearing, but rather go with everything because it compliments your face, not your clothes.
